a Guide to Mebane's Hair Salon Policies

Please ensure to read all of our salon policies.
Below are a few of the current & new policies to be implemented effective immediately:
Pricing & Payment
All staff are commissioned employees.
Services are priced by time
All appointments will be required to be reserved and confirmed with a Credit Card.
CANVAS Salon and it's staff, does not have access to this information.
Your card will only be charged after completion of your appointment, unless our cancellation and no-show policy has been activated.
APPOINTMENT BOOKINGS
All appointments require confirmation with credit card. This information is stored via a 3rd party payment processing company, Ayden www.adyen.com.
As such, we do not have access to client credit card information or bank details.
When an appointment is booked either online or by staff, clients will be sent a confirmation text and email to confirm their appointment with a payment card.
When a client enters their payment information, they will be asked to agree to our cancellation policies.
Due to the many no-shows and late cancellations since June of 2020, we have had to enforce a strict policy, which states:
Strict Policy - 50% fee to cancel within 48 hours, 100% no show fee
If a client would like to confirm without a payment card, they can contact us at 919-275-2895 and purchase a voucher that is 50% of their service charges.
CANCELLATIONS & MISSED APPOINTMENTS
CANVAS Salon is a small business and we appreciate your support.
Unfortunately, when a client misses their appointment, fails to cancel within the allotted time frame, or doesn't reach out to the salon or their specific stylist to reschedule, everyone misses out on an opportunity to fill that time slot and be fairly compensated.
Since we realize that it is easy to forget an appointment made months in advance, all our appointments are confirmed 48 hours in advance via email and text.
Cancellation fees will apply and we will require clients to provide their credit card information:
Less than 48 hours’ notice will result in a fee of 50% of the reserved service price.
“No show” will be charged 100% of the booked service price.
Cancellation of an appointment made within 48 hours prior will result in a fee equal to 50% of the reserved service cost.
Multiple services not canceled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment will be charged 100% of the reserved services’ cost.
Services rescheduled after trying to cancel to avoid cancellation fees and then cancelled will result in a 50% charge.
New clients who have booked their first appointment only to reschedule more than 2x will be blocked from making future appointments.
We reserve the right to block anyone from making future appointments.
The purpose of this cancellation policy is to enable us to inform our standby clients of any availability, keep our schedule filled, thus providing better service for each one of our established and future clients.

REFUNDS & RETURNS & REDOS
We do not give refunds for the following:
- Any services performed
- Vouchers
- Late Cancellation Fees
- No-Show Fees
- Products that have been refilled
- We do not refund hair wefts or wigs of any kind
Product returns will result in a store credit, minus a 25% restocking fee.

If you are not completely satisfied with the results from your last appointment within 7 days, you are eligible for a redo appointment, free of charge. Please do the following as soon as possible:
- Contact your stylist or the Salon and inform them of any issues
- Make arrangements with your stylist and salon to edit, adjust, or fix any problems within the same 7 days
- Please refrain from editing your hair in anyway prior to your REDO appointment.
- If your hair has been altered in any way since your appointment, your REDO will no longer be valid and you will have to book a regular appointment.
- The management and the owner have final say in further options if a resolution can not be made.
CHILD SAFETY POLICY
We understand how challenging it is finding time to spend on yourself, by yourself. We also understand that your “me time” does not always align with your hair appointments.
However, our policy strictly prohibits unsupervised children in the salon.
In the event you must bring a young child into the salon, we require an additional caretaker there for anyone under the age of 13.
Also, young children in carriers/strollers may not be placed near the service areas or held in the lap unless they are receiving services.
We kindly request ONLY those receiving services be present in the service areas. Older children, (13+) capable of sitting quietly and unsupervised, may wait in the provided seating area.
While this policy helps ensure that all guests enjoy a relaxing salon experience, it was created with your child’s safety in mind.
Our salon is not child-proof.
Sharp instruments, hot styling tools, chemicals and a busy, congested area make for a potentially dangerous environment for young children.
CANVAS Salon stylists and staff are dedicated to providing each of our guests with the highest level of services possible.
We greatly appreciate your compliance with our child safety policy.
If you choose to bring your children regardless, you consent to not hold the salon liable for any injuries caused to any child or children under your care and supervision.
You also consent to taking financial responsibility for any damage caused by children under your care and supervision.
